This is an example of a private bespoke commission.
Our client provided us with photographs of his pet golden retriever from which our silversmith made a wax model to create a 3-D mould into which the silver is poured in the traditional, centuries-old, technique of lost wax casting. Molten silver is poured into the mould that has been created by the wax model and once the silver has solidified, the wax is melted and drained away. Each of our heavy-gauge models is then individually hand chased to produce the lifelike effect seen in the finished piece and the character of the particular animal.
