The roe deer is truly native to the British Isles and is the smallest European deer, being very nimble and graceful. It always prefers a mountainous country, or high grounds and the English and Scottish countryside provide an almost perfect habit. The male is called a roebuck.

Like all Langfords' silver models, our silver roebuck is cast in heavy gauge sterling silver using the traditional, centuries-old technique of lost wax casting where molten silver is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the silver has solidified, the wax model is melted and drained away. Each of our models is then individually hand chased to produce the lifelike effect seen in the finished piece.

For a truly personal model, we can work from photographs to capture the true likeness of your own pet or favourite animal cast in sterling silver. Contact us for more details.
