An antique Edwardian silver tea caddy of hexagonal form and beautifully decorated in the oriental manner. Each panel as well as the pull-off cover are hand chased with different foliage and floral-work set against a mottled background. The flower decorations include peonies, chrysanthemums, narcissi and roses, and the base of each panel is raised on providing chevron-shaped supports. The silver tea caddy was originally retailed by J Edmonds & Co in Baker Street, London.
