Altough made in 1851, this is a distinctly Georgian style silver pint mug with all the classic characteristics of the era: bellied form, sitting on a stepped base and with a strong handle featuring an acanthus leaf-topped handle and thumbpiece.
Given as a presentation piece, rather fittingly, by the Worshipful Company of Coopers in London, this silver mug bears the following inscription:

Charles Jeffries Church
By the Coopers of London
as a testimony of his integrity
during the late trial for
CONSPIRACY
Anno Domini 1851
