Victorian pair of crystal and sterling silver claret jugs. The rock crystal-type bodies are superbly hand-engraved with fruit and flower decoration. The hallmarked silver mounts are gold plated and hand chased to match the glass. Pairs of claret jugs are rare and this pair is of the finest quality with such attention to detail that the craftsman has even engraved the underside of each jug with a floral decoration.
