Matched pair silver gilt berry serving spoons

Matched pair silver gilt berry serving spoons

Sold

A matched pair of George III period Old English pattern silver-gilt serving spoons that have been later chased during the Victorian period and made into fruit serving spoons, also referred to as berry spoons.

These are particularly good examples in that the overlapping leaf and bead design chased bowls are finely detailed and the chasing well executed. The handles are adorned with the same pattern as the bowls.
