Made of French 1st Standard silver (950/1000), this impressive and versatile silver plateau was created by France's premier silversmith, Maison Odiot of Paris, the most iconic and renowned French silver manufacturer.
There are three parts to this antique French silver plateau where one, two or three parts can be used separately or combined to suit varying table settings. The central section alone is 520mm (20½").
Maison Odiot was founded by Jean-Baptiste Claude Odiot (Napoleon's silversmith). During the 19th century, with his grandson Jean-Baptiste Gustave Odiot, the firm supplied silverware to all the major European royal families, winning prizes and accolades for exceptional presentation pieces exhibited at international exhibitions.
