Suite of round-based George III silver candlesticks and candelabra with tapering stems and three-light arms made to the highest quality. As a particularly attractive set in the neoclassical style of the mid 18th century, this suite incorporates two 3-arm silver candleabra which, when the arms are removed, the candlesticks can be married the the other pair of candlesticks and be used as a set of four candlesticks.

Incorporating classical motifs of the style, set of four candlesticks have round bases and tapering fluted stems, rising to cast, vase-shaped sconces that feature with stylised acanthus leaf detail. The two three-light arms are with swirling reeded arms.

Neoclassicism was born in Rome in the mid-18th century before spreading throughout Europe. It is the name given to Western movements in the arts and architecture that draw inspiration from the classical art and culture of Ancient Greece or Rome.
