This beautiful silver plateau, oval in form, has finely cast and hand-chased classical scenes running round the border, incorporating lions entwined with grape vines and Bacchanalian masks. The plateau is mounted on four gilded feet with wonderfully detailed heraldic winged lions (or lamassus) each holding a shield engraved with family crest of an eagle.
