Antique sterling silver model of a koi carp
Antique sterling silver model of a koi carp
10021
Very fine antique sterling silver articulated model of a koi carp and whose silversmith's skill has created a fish model whose sinuous body moves fluidly. The fish is beautifully hand chased and engraved in fine detail to give a very lifelike rendition, and its eyes are semiprecious green stones.
Made in Germany, many of Neresheimer's silver pieces were made in sterling silver for the English market, and this fish bears import marks for London 1908.
This excellent koi carp is accompanied by its original velvet-lined fitted presentation case.
