Beautiful Victorian wine jug in the Moorish taste featuring a beautifully cut ovoid glass body (later addition) surmounted by finely hand-chased silver mounts, a domed hinged lid, elegant sweeping handle and featuring a pierced silver apron. A silver cartouche around the neck of the jug bears an engraved crest of a stag. This lovely claret jug rests on a silver collet base where the Moorish designs continue and complement the rest of the piece.
