This pretty oval silver jewellery box was made at the turn of the 20th century by William Comyns of London. The lid is finely hand-engraved with floral decoration and has cast flower and scroll borders. The cast legs are set amongst a delicate openwork cape of leaves and flowers and the interior is re-lined in blue velvet with gold-plate in the lid.
