Large capacity, fine quality, antique gilded sterling silver milk jug of compressed circular form and featuring a most unusual band of draping panels hand chased with sections of scrolling foliage. The cast supports are also finely detailed with more scrolls and foliage, while the cast handle features unusual leaf decorations, scrolls and a flowerhead thumbpiece. Adding to the elaboration, an applied leaf and dart border decorates the rim.
Of course, this beautiful jug should not be confined to the tea table. It will be perfect for serving cream or fruit coulis with desserts.
