This smart five-piece antique silver tea and coffee set comprises a coffee pot (or hot water jug), teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and with the unusual addition of its original tea caddy. Made in the early 20th century, the design of the tea set is based on a style of the 1760s, at the start of the reign of King George III. The oblong bombe form with gadroon decorated and fluted lids, adorned with attractive shell motifs on the base of each item, all reflect the fashion of the late 18th century.

The capacity of the teapot and water pot is 500ml; enough for three or four cups of tea. The water pot holds 700ml of boiling water and could be used alternatively as a coffee pot. Both pieces are fitted with their original black wood handles.

All pieces are fully hallmarked and in excellent condition.
