Fine antique silver-gilt cup and cover made at the start of the 20th century and faithfully reproduced with hand chased acanthus leaves on the body, cover lid and finial. The style is a recreation of a covered porringer, or feeding bowl; a design first made popular around 1685 during the reign of William III. Of course, it is perfectly suited to being a trophy cup.
