Pair of rare antique telescopic candlesticks made during the early part of the 19th century during the reign of King George III. In a design that was popular for for more than half a century, the sections of these collapsible candlesticks extend upwards in order to cast more light as the candles burn down.
When collapsed, the candlesticks are 150mm (6") tall, and 205mm (8") when fully extended.
