Set of six antique, George III silver candlesticks of neoclassical form and design. This is a wonderful quality set with substantial proportions in a classic George III style. The elegant tapering stems give way to spreading circular bases that are decorated with bands of lattice, rolling wave patterns and vertical leaf sections; all typical design cues of the neoclassical style.
Each candlestick has a removable nozzle to facilitate cleaning should wax fall on it.
Sets of six candlesticks of this age are rare and this is a particularly fine example.
