A rare and wonderful Victorian silver rolltop breakfast dish standing on four lion paw legs. The revolving lid is a perfectly plain dome that opens to reveal the inner liners - the solid base liner is hallmarked silver and has a bead edge to match that on the body, and the pierced upper liner is silver-plated.

Roll top dishes were almost always made in silver plate so it is very unusual to find a silver example like this one. The lid, base and end caps are also hallmarked.
