Stylish, heavy-gauge sterling silver drinks tray, extremely versatile for an Art Deco bar service, made by Walker & Hall. The stylish, long narrow form is in perfect condition and its oblong shape would suit serving drinks, cocktails or canapés. It would also suit sitting on a side table, sideboard or bar to display decanters or glasses.

The raised cut corner panelled border of this two-handled oblong serving tray takes design cues from the Art Deco era of the 1930s and adds stylised cast egg-and-bead pattern sections between the thread pattern border
and the cast handles.

Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and 1930s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
