An excellent centrepiece suite comprising a large, round, pierced silver fruit bowl and a pair of matching vases. Each piece has stylised hand pierced scrolling foliage around the body and base, as well as cast and applied floral garlands and shell and scroll mounts. Almost like a deconstructed silver épergne - an ornamental centrepiece for a dining table, typically used for holding fruit or flowers - this suite is both versatile as well as decorative.

Traditionally made in silver, an épergne generally has a large central bowl or basket sitting on three to five feet. From this central bowl radiate branches supporting small baskets, dishes, or candleholders. There may be between two and seven branches and host a variety of foods, flowers or candles.

The vases are 230mm (9") tall.
