A impressive and fine quality, Victorian silver tea caddy with typical hand-chased decorative flower garlands and ribbons. The caddy has a partition to hold two tea varieties. The interior is gilded, as are the two removable, hand-engraved partition covers and handles. A patented lock is fitted, inscribed with a crown, the patent number, and St Paul, Soho, London.

The caddy rests of four shell pattern supports. There is a cast decorative panel applied to the rim above the lock. The raised cover is fitted with a detachable flowerhead finial.
