Superb quality antique mid-Victorian era butler's tray. This large kidney-shaped silver-plated tray has a beautiful hand-engraved surface decorated with swirling, scrolling foliage and incorporating shamrocks, thistles and roses; the national emblem flowers that symbolise Ireland, Scotland and England. The cast border contains the same symbols, in high relief and fine detail.
This tray is an exceptional piece. We have never seen another of this size and quality.
Length given includes handles. The tray is 800mm (31½" ) excluding the handles.
