Comprehensive set of sterling silver cutlery in the Ribbon, Reed & Oakleaf pattern for 12 people, including the original knives, all fitted in a lined, three-drawer wooden canteen. The knives are fitted with stainless steel blades soldered to hollow silver handles - the finest quality knife construction - making them suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher

The "ribbon, reed & oak leaf" pattern is a variation of classic European cutlery designs, combining elements from the enduring English Reed & Ribbon and King's patterns. The design elements date back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries, a time when elaborate, ornate styles became popular in aristocratic and later middle class dining.
